With all the news about the tax bill, everyone seems to have forgotten the nation's infrastructure. Promises were made in last year's election to rebuild our old worn-out roads, bridges, tunnels, public transit, etc. Instead, we are spending $1.5 trillion in tax breaks for political donors. Large corporations, real estate empires, billionaires and their beneficiaries are doing very well and don't need it. The infrastructure project, which would take years, is guaranteed to create millions of jobs and an economic boom for everyone, including businesses of all sizes. In addition to the jobs, our nation would have something else to show for the trillion dollars — new infrastructure! What an opportunity we're passing up.
