Skaneateles resident, Manlius Pebble Hill junior wins Bausch & Lomb science award

Olivia Sheppard

SKANEATELES | Olivia Sheppard, a Skaneateles resident and junior at Manlius Pebble Hill School, received the Bausch & Lomb Honorary High Achievement in Science Award scholarship.

She was presented the award at Manlius Pebble Hill’s baccalaureate closing ceremonies on June 6. She also received a significant scholarship offer from the University of Rochester.

Sheppard is the daughter of Rebecca Dalton and John Sheppard of Skaneateles and was also recently inducted into the National Honor Society at Manlius Pebble Hill. 

She was most recently a research intern in the King Lab, Department of Biomedical Engineering at Cornell University.

Sheppard is a two-time winner of the grand prize at the Central New York Science and Engineering Fair, making her eligible for two trips to the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair as a finalist.
