That was the weekend for the Auburn Doubledays.
Tony Renda drove in his first two runs as a professional including Wes Schill in the top of the tenth inning as the Auburn Doubledays avoided a sweep with a 6-5 win over the Williamsport Crosscutters on Sunday.
Renda was 1-for-5, but walked with the bases loaded, and drove in the go-ahead run.
Jordan Poole was 2-for-5 with a double for Auburn, while Carlos Lopez was 1-for-2 with three walks. Spencer Kieboom went 2-for-3.
Estarlin Martinez hit his first home run of the season for the Doubledays that are 4-3 on the season and tied for second in the Pinckney Division behind 5-2 State College.
On Saturday night, Cameron Perkins drove in Roman Quinn with a double in the bottom of the tenth to beat Auburn. Quinn had an RBI triple on Sunday.
Craig Manuel was 2-for-4 with an RBI in the loss for the Doubledays, while Poole had an RBI double.
