The Wells College men’s lacrosse team’s all-time leading scorer Kylan Hallett added to his total Saturday afternoon, notching a game-high six goals, including the game-winner in double overtime to lead the Express past Thiel College 10-9 in Greenville, Pa.
Adam Shaver led the Tomcats with four goals. The Express open the season 1-0, while Thiel falls to 1-3 on the year.
Steven Mack was impressive on the face-off for the Express, finishing 13 of 23 on the day, while tallying two goals and eight groundballs. Jonathan Mulcahey finished with four assists, Dan Munsel chipped in with one goal, one assist and five groundballs, while Stephen Rodriguez added a goal of his own to round out Wells’ scoring.
Kyle Brimm earned the win in net for Wells, finishing with 11 saves.
The Express return to action next on March 13 at 2 p.m. against Mount Saint Mary’s College in Newburg, N.Y.

Wells College 3
SUNY Maritime led 7-3 after the first half and held on to defeat Wells in Throggs Neck, N.Y.
Courtney Grosser and Sarah Allen each tallied a pair of goals to lead the Express.
Kristen Saporito paced Maritime with a game-high six goals and one assist. The loss drops Wells to 1-1 on the season, while Maritime improves to 1-1.
Liz Barclay finished the game with nine saves in the net for the Express, while Stephanie Motes, Kendra Francis an Ariel Taft each tallied one goal to round out the scoring for the Express.
It was an evenly played game throughout, the Express held a slight edge in shots 24-22 and groundballs 16-15.
The Express return to action on Saturday when they travel to take on Ramapo College in Mahwa, N.Y.
