Two players recorded over 20 points, as Southern Cayuga girls basketball defeated Marathon 56-43 Tuesday.

Catie Kopp recorded a triple-double with 24 points, 15 rebounds and 10 steals, and Lauren Sherman added 22 points, three rebounds and two steals. Aimee Kreydatus added six points and eight rebounds.

Southern Cayuga (1-1) is at Trumansburg on Friday.

Moravia 43, Whitney Point 33: Grace Wasileski finished with 12 points to go with five rebounds, Sierra Lyon posted 11 points, four steals and three assists, Maddy Kelly contributed eight points, five rebounds and four steals, and Allie Genson scored five points and four rebounds.

The Blue Devils totaled 14 steals as a team.

Moravia is home Friday against Lansing.

Union Springs 52, Groton 30: Renee Park led the Wolves with 20 points on four 3s. She also grabbed eight rebounds. Baylee Wiler added 14 points with seven rebounds and Grace Perkins chipped in with nine points and a steal.

Union Springs (2-1) faces Southern Cayuga Tuesday.

Auburn 72, Nottingham 45: Jania Freeman scored 15 points to go with seven rebounds, while Doray Dillalo (seven rebounds) and Stef Gera (six assists) both had 12 points. Emma Nolan added 11 points and four assists, Grace Baranick chipped in with 10 points, seven assists and seven rebounds, and Marlee Solomon grabbed 10 rebounds.

Auburn is 1-0.

BOYS HOCKEY

Auburn 10, Ontario Bay 4: Jake Morin recorded five goals and four assists to lead the Maroons.

Johnny Malandruccolo added three goals and three assists, while Brendan Williams had one goal and three helpers.

Austin Black had his first career goal and added an assist. Hunter Tubbert and Aidan Hastings each had one assist.

Jack Kalabanka made 20 saves in the first 42 minutes, while Xavier Congdon played the final three minutes.

Auburn (3-1-1) hosts Clinton on Thursday.

Skaneateles 6, Oswego 2: Ryan Gick registered three goals and one assist in the Lakers' victory.

Luke Lynn added three assists, and Bauer Morrissey had a goal and an assist. Owen Van Holtz and Colin Weeks each scored once, while Matt Leveroni, Patrick Moore and Vincent Williams each had an assist.

Adam Casper made 17 saves for the win.

GIRLS HOCKEY

Skaneateles 5, Oswego 1: Meg Teachout recorded four of the Lakers' five goals in the win. Heather Tanzella also scored and picked up and assist, while Cecily Kawejsza was credited with an assist. Jess Smith made 18 saves in net.

BOYS SWIMMING

Southern Cayuga 48, Watkins Glen 21: The Chiefs swept the first three events and held on the rest of the meet. Dylan Saville, Joey Angotti, Ian Murray, Sam Perez, Jordan Stephenson, Daniel Groth, Andy Poklemba, George Vreelan, Jamison Murray and Chris Morris each posted first-place finishes.

Southern Cayuga (2-0) is home on Thursday against Dryden.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Union Springs 59, Groton 47: Nick Valentino recorded a team-high 23 points for the Wolves, while Kevin Cunningham scored 16 points and Connor DeChick added 10 points.

Union Springs is 2-1 and hosts Southern Cayuga next Tuesday.

Marathon 64, Southern Cayuga 57: The Chiefs were paced by Conner Bennett, who concluded the game with 16 points. Collin Rejman added 12 points, Lorenzo Raymundo had 11 points and Andrew White finished with 10.

Southern Cayuga is home against Trumansburg Friday.
