Four players scored in double digits as the Moravia girls basketball team defeated Mynderse Academy 56-42 in a non-league game Saturday.
Allie Genson (10 rebounds, four assists, three steals), Maddy Kelly (eight rebounds) and Grace Wasileski (four rebounds) all posted 12 points in the win. Maddie Funk added 11 points and five rebounds, and Sierra Lyon dished out nine assists to go with eight rebounds.
Moravia faces Odessa-Montour in the IAC small-school championship Thursday at Tompkins-Cortland Community College.
Auburn 65, Central Square 44: Stef Gera was one of three Maroons to score at least 10 points, finishing with 17 to go with three assists. Marlee Solomon recorded a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds, and Jania Freeman finished with 10 points and nine rebounds. Emma Nolan (five assists) and Grace Baranick (five rebounds) both scored eight points, and Doray Dilallo chipped in with four points and five rebounds.
Auburn is 11-7.
Cayuga 64, Broome 36: The Spartans stormed out to a 26-2 lead after the first quarter and didn't let up.
Gabby Bell was CCC's leading scorer with 15 points while Dontasia Britt added 14. Erica Helzer registered 11 points, seven rebounds and four steals, Emily Klock snatched 14 rebounds, and J'Anne Mizro chipped in with 13 rebounds including 10 on the offensive end.
CCC (9-12) faces Finger Lakes Community College Wednesday in the final home game of the regular season.
Cato-Meridian 66, Faith Heritage 54: Marcus Ramacus posted a game-high 21 points as one of five Blue Devils to reach double digits in scoring.
Alec Cady recorded 13 points, Trent Lunkenheimer and Trevor Lunkenheimer both totaled 11 points and Justin Donnelly chipped in with 10 points.
Cato-Meridian trailed 29-23 at halftime, but outscored Faith Heritage 24-12 in the third quarter to cruise to the win.
