The Port Byron/Union Springs girls cross country team swept a tri-meet Tuesday, defeating Cato-Meridian 23-34 while also besting Manlius-Pebble Hill 15-50.
The Panthers' Hannah Yorkey led all finishers with a time of 19:59, followed by Haley Yorkey in third (21:31), Allayna Dillon in fifth (23:23), Chelsea Rooker in sixth (23:31), Corrine Stevens in eighth (24:51) and Molly Yorkey in 11th (26:53).
Grace Cady paced the Blue Devils with a second-overall finish (21:12). Megan Cady placed fourth (22:21), Lydia Cox was seventh (23:45) and Mairin Ellsworth was 10th (26:11).
BOYS CROSS COUNTRY
Port Byron/Union Springs 18, Cato-Meridian 45; Port Byron/Union Springs 15, Manlius-Pebble Hill 50: The Panthers claimed seven of the first eight finishes in the tri-meet.
Port Byron's Michael Schumacher posted the top time of the meet with a final time of 16:15. He was followed by Ben York in second (16:20), Braden York in fourth (16:40), Jon Jackson in fifth (17:22), Jakob Dillon in sixth (18:08), Tad Patterson in seventh (19:22) and Robert Thompson in eighth (19:23).
For the Blue Devils, Logan Carnicelli ranked third overall (16:34) while Skylar Goodwin was 16th (21:41).
Lansing 4, Union Springs/Port Byron 1: Morgan Lupo made 18 saves, but the Wolves fell to the Bobcats.
Ava Mills netted her ninth goal of the season on a penalty kick in the second half for Union Springs/Port Byron's lone goal.
Union Springs/Port Byron (1-5) hosts Whitney Point on Friday.
Tully 4, Cato-Meridian 0: The Blue Devils started with 11 players, but two injuries forced them to finish the game shorthanded.
Meghan McCarthy made 19 saves, while Harley Ducharme tallied six saves in relief.
Cato-Meridian (1-3) hosts Manlius Pebble Hill on Friday.
Groton 5, Southern Cayuga 0: Evelyn Valdez made 12 saves in net for the Chiefs.
Southern Cayuga (1-4) faces Moravia on Friday.
Auburn 214, Oswego 225: Ross Burgmaster carded a 1-over 37 to lead the Maroons.
Parker Hogan added a 42, Jack Leader had a 44, Tim Walsh shot a 45 and Carter Mizro finished with a 46.
Auburn (4-3) hits the road to take on Jamesville-DeWitt on Friday.
Mexico 101, Skaneateles 83: Lily Buchholz won the 200 freestyle (2:04.13) and Gabriella Capozza had the top score in diving (29.74) for the Lakers.
