Macauley Kolonko recorded a pair of 17th place finishes at the New York State Public High School Athletic Association boys swim meet Saturday.
The Weedsport senior recorded a time of 1:44.63 in the consolation heat of the 200 freestyle and a time of 4:45.61 in the consolation heat of the 500 freestyle. Kolonko had a seed time of 1:44.60 in the 200 and 4:47.79 in the 500.
Kolonko was making his fourth appearance at the state meet. As a junior, he placed 16th in the 500 free and 17th in the 200 free.
Auburn High graduate Alyssa Long earned a series of honors for her performance last weekend.
Long, a senior at Lourdes University, was named the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference's Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week, as well as the NAIA National Defensive Player of the Week.
Long scored 12 goals and added three assists for 15 points in two contests last week. She added 17 ground balls, won six draw controls and caused five turnovers.
Long tallied seven goals and an assist to tie a program record for eight points in a 19-6 victory over Asbury. She picked up a school-best 10 ground balls, caused a pair of turnovers and won two draws.
Long scored five more times and had two helpers in the Gray Wolves' 14-13 loss to Marian. She added seven ground balls, four draw controls and five caused turnovers.
Long is the first Lourdes player to earn NAIA National Player of the Week honors.
