Auburn Pee Wees

The Auburn Boyle and Anderson Pee Wee team became the New York State Tier III central section champions by defeating Fingerlakes Central and Corning. The Ice Hawks move on to the state tournament in Buffalo. 


The Auburn Squirt and Pee Wee travel hockey teams both had strong showings over the weekend, with the Squirts earning a tournament championship while the Pee Wees are moving on to the state tournament. 


The Boyle and Anderson Pee Wees became the New York State Tier III Central Section champions in Cicero over the weekend.

In its opening game, Auburn topped the Fingerlakes Central Outlaws 4-3. Nico Tardibone (assist), Joey Lott (assist), Jack Pineau (assist) and Ryan Huber each scored, with Elise Clifford, Claire Diffin and Aiden Tomandl. Mason Jones made 21 saves in goal.

Auburn defeated Corning 9-0. Owen Kime scored two goals while Carter Mizro, Mac Maher, Evan Moore, Lott, Huber, Pineau and Tardibone rounded out the scoring. Pineau, Tardibone, Lott, Maher and Huber picked up assists, and AJ Murphy earned the shutout with three saves.

Auburn travels to Buffalo on March 23 to represent the Central Section in the Tier III 12U state hockey tournament.


The Generations Bank Ice Hawks wrapped up their season with a championship in the Big Thaw Tournament hosted by the Perinton Blades.

Auburn defeated Ithaca 2-1 in the championship game as Tyler Calkins scored both of the goals while Aiden Baum picked up the win in net.

The Ice Hawks opened the tournament with a 4-0 victory over Midstate as Baum captured the shutout. Calkins, Gavin Regis and Matthew Hoey were the goal scorers. Auburn fell short to Ithaca 5-4 in its second game, with Liam Wride, TJ Pisciotti and Hoey finding the back of the net. Auburn's third game of the tourney was a 4-0 win over Lysander, with Hoey, Pisciotti, Calkins and Regis each scoring goals.

Penelope Ferguson, Ryan Maher, Tucker Hogan and Max Laraway led the defense that allowed only five goals the entire tournament.



Camillus 6, Auburn 1: Jack Chapman score the lone goal for the Simmonds, Brady & Loi Ice Hawks.

Ethan Moore had an assist, while Lucas Hooker and Jackson Siddall combined for 25 saves.

Auburn finishes the regular season 17-20-4.
