One of hip-hop's rising stars is the latest addition to the New York State Fair's Chevy Court lineup.

Lil Yachty will perform at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29. The concert is free with admission to the fair.

"We're excited to bring Lil Yachty to upstate New York," said Troy Waffner, the fair's acting director. "He's got a unique take on modern rap and we know fans will enjoy this show. We are committed to creating a lineup that represents the diversity of our great state and its musical tastes."

The 20-year-old rapper released his first mixtape, "Lil Boat," in March 2016. He collaborated with DRAM on "Broccoli," which reached No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. "Broccoli" received a Grammy nomination in the best rap/sung performance category.

Lil Yachty was a featured artist on Kyle's "iSpy" and Tee Grizzley's "From the D to the A." His first album, "Teenage Emotions," was released last year. The 21-track album included "Peek A Boo" featuring Migos and "Better" featuring Stefflon Don.

His second album, "Lil Boat 2," will be released Friday.

Lil Yachty is the third Chevy Court performer announced by the state fair. Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits will perform at 2 p.m., Aug. 27. Smokey Robinson will take the stage at 8 p.m. Aug. 27.

The fair will run from Aug. 22 through Sept. 3.
