There will be 10 performances of "Sesame Street Live: C is for Celebration" at the fair's Empire Theater, according to a news release. The performances are scheduled for 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. daily from Wednesday, Aug. 22 through Sunday, Aug. 26.
The cost to attend is $5 per person. Adults and children must have tickets to enter the theater. Tickets are available online at etix.com.
Any tickets not sold online will be available the day of the show at the Art & Home Center office.
"We are thrilled to have 'Sesame Street' with us as we kick off the 2018 fair," said Troy Waffner, the fair's acting director. "We know young people, as well as fans of the show who have grown up with it, will have a wonderful time with Grover, Abby and Rosita, and the show's message of inclusion and diversity is our message, too."
According to the show's website, "Sesame Street Live: C is for Celebration!" runs for 45 minutes.
The fair opens Aug. 22. The event's 13-day run concludes Monday, Sept. 3.
