Singles match: Roman Reigns vs. The Undertaker

What happened: There was a match, but what was more important is what happened after.

Roman Reigns needed six spears to take down The Undertaker and win the match. Reigns was subdued as he capped off the victory. Based on the broadcast, he didn't have his hand raised in the ring. Maybe it happened off camera.

There were fireworks as Reigns walked up the ramp and he briefly raised his arms. But the focus quickly shifted back to the ring, where the Undertaker laid still.

The Undertaker soon got up and the broadcast cut to a highlight package. When we return, The Undertaker is standing in the ring with his hat and coat on. He considers leaving, then walks back to the middle of the ring. He removes his gloves and places them on the canvas. He then takes off his coat and puts it on top of his gloves. He takes off his hat and leaves it in the ring.

The reason for the actions is clear: The Undertaker is retiring. His match at WrestleMania 33 was his last. (A good indication it was his last: WWE brought back Jim Ross to call the match.)

The Undertaker exited the ring and walked over to the seats at ringside. His wife, former WWE superstar Michelle McCool, is waiting there. He gives her a kiss and walks away. He heads back up the ramp and reaches the halfway point. Unlike other WWE superstars, he didn't walk down the long ramp before his WrestleMania match. He rose from below the ramp at about the halfway point.

As he walked up the ramp, he reached the halfway point. He raised his fist in the air a final time as he was lowered below the ramp.
