One of the state's three Tesla Supercharger stations can be found in central New York.
The Holiday Inn in Liverpool, which is located off of the New York State Thruway and a mile away from Interstate 81, said Wednesday that the charging station for electric vehicles opened at the hotel in April.
The station has eight Superchargers for Tesla owners to charge their vehicles. In 30 minutes, a Supercharger station can provide a range of up to 170 miles.
The hotel said one Tesla owner has already visited the station twice and said the Syracuse-area Supercharger gives motorists an option on the route from Canada to Pennsylvania.
"We are excited to be a part of welcoming Tesla into the Syracuse market!" Holiday Inn General Manager Tiffany Gallagher said. "Our great city continues to draw businesses that are innovating and changing the way we live and do business."
Along with the station in Liverpool, there are Tesla charging stations in Albany and Utica.
There are 425 Tesla Supercharger stations throughout the world.
