MasterWorks Chorale, Central New York’s premier community choir, will sing in the New Year by welcoming new members. Singers of all abilities and experience, high school or older, are invited to attend two open rehearsals, and no formal audition is necessary. Members need only have a desire to learn and perform great choral music.

Director Kip Coerper, ChM, states, "Singing together has the power to lift spirits and transform lives. MasterWorks Chorale offers all Central New Yorkers the opportunity to share the joy of group singing in a warm, friendly and supportive atmosphere.”

Interested singers are invited to attend open rehearsals on January 2 and January 9, 2018, to sing along and meet with the conductor afterwards. Rehearsals are generally held Tuesday evenings, September through mid-May, at First Presbyterian Church in Skaneateles. Some rehearsals include mini-tutorials on music reading, vocal skills or choral singing, to help all of the more than 60 members perform at their best.

Chorale’s spring 2018 schedule includes MasterWorks two March performances of Song and Spirit, featuring John Rutter’s Requiem and Schubert’s Mass in G, with orchestral accompaniment. In May, the choir’s annual Gala dinner theme is All That Jazz - and More, a toe-tapping tribute to America’s golden age of music.
