Willard Memorial Chapel will celebrate National Preservation Month with a Sacred Sites open house Saturday, followed by a performance by Loren Barrigar Sunday.
The free open house will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at the chapel, 17 Nelson St., Auburn. Guided tours will be available, and Susan May will perform on the chapel's Steere & Turner organ at 11 a.m. Later, at 1 p.m., Karen Bove will highlight Auburn's historic carriage houses in the presentation "When Horses Ruled."
Guitarist Barrigar, of Elbridge, will perform at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 19, in the chapel's Sunday Concert Series.
"This is one of the most intimate settings I've ever had the pleasure of performing in and I'm looking forward with great anticipation to returning," Barrigar said in a news release.
Tickets are $10 and proceeds support the Community Preservation Committee's care of the chapel.
