A group featuring three members of the Cayuga Community College music faculty will perform a Latin jazz concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, in Room M157 in the Auburn campus, 197 Franklin St., Auburn. (The concert was originally supposed to take place March 15, but was postponed.)
The Cayuga Latin Jazz Project consists of Associate Professor of Music and Recording Arts Michael Cortese on drums, faculty members Rick Balestra on guitar and Andrew Carroll on piano, spring 2019 Brunell Visiting Artist Mike Dubaniewicz on saxophone and flute, Chris Colabello on electric bass and Dave Donley on congas and percussion.
The group will perform Latin jazz selections by Ray Barretto, Michel Camilo, Paquito D’Rivera, Dizzy Gillespie, Antonio Carlos Jobim and Daniel Freiberg.
Admission to the concert is free and open to the public.
