Schweinfurth's 'Quilting by the Lake' stretches through July 24 at OCC


"Quilting by the Lake" continues through July 24 at Onondaga Community College. 

"Quilting by the Lake 2014" brings more than 200 quilters and teachers from the United States, Canada, England, France and South Africa to Onondaga Community College through July 24.

Along with the exhibit of more than 100 quilts that is open daily, as well as classes and workshops, the Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center event also features tour days July 17 with Philippa Naylor and July 24 with Victoria Findlay Wolfe, plus 4 p.m. trunk shows July 18 with Norma Lamb and July 22 with Paula Schulz.

The event takes place in the college's Allyn Hall gymnasium, 4585 W. Seneca Turnpike, Syracuse (distance from downtown Auburn: 21 miles)

Admission to the exhibit is $6 for adults and free for members of the Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center and children younger than 12. Tour day admission is $30.
