The MasterWorks Chorale will celebrate the coming of spring by presenting "Song and Spirit" at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 18, at St. Mary's Church, 15 Clark St., Auburn.
The 60-voice choir will be accompanied by a 24-piece chamber orchestra of professional musicians for the program, which will include traditional and modern interpretations of the Mass selected by director and conductor Kip Coerper. Works will include Schubert's "Mass in G," Stephen Paulus' "Gabriel's Message" and "In Paradisum" from Gabriel Fauré's "Requiem." Six vocal soloists will also be featured at the concert.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and free for students 18 and younger. The concert is supported by funding from the Columbian and Stanley W. Metcalf foundations, and the chorale's season is sponsored in part by the Skaneateles Area Arts Council.
