St. Patrick's Day is Sunday, and whether it's a church, bar or the Ancient Order of Hibernians, there will be plenty of places to celebrate the occasion in the Cayuga County area over the weekend:

Saturday, March 16

☘️ The Hibernians will be open all day with Irish music, basket raffles, a 50/50, bucket specials and more. The kitchen will open at 5 p.m., and there will be an Irish bonfire at 5:30 p.m. The event is open to the public. For more information, call (315) 252-6459.

☘️ Fingerlakes Mall's March Family Day will feature a performance by the Crane School of Irish Dance from 2:30 to 3 p.m., following a performance by Jeremy the Illusionist from 1 to 2 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public at the mall, 1579 Clark St. Road, Aurelius. ☘️ The Good Shepherds Brewing Co. will host a St. Patrick's Day party from 1 to 10 p.m. with green beer, corned beef, cabbage and veggies, and music by the Tim Herron Trio from 7 to 10 p.m. The brewery is located at 132 Genesee St., Auburn. ☘️ A St. Patrick's Day party will take place at 2 p.m. at Stryker Homes, 2 Loop Road, Auburn. By the Fireside — John Wilmot, of Port Byron, and Jacqui McCarthy, of Elbridge — will perform traditional Irish music, and Beth Miller will read Irish poetry.

☘️ The Tobacco Free Network of CNY and the Drug Free Community Coalition will present a St. Patrick's Day Youth Lock-in from 7 p.m. to midnight at the Auburn YMCA, 27 William St., Auburn. The night will feature laser tag, glow golf, pizza, snow cones, cotton candy and a "swim-in" movie featuring "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle," among other activities. The movie is being shown in coordination with the International Week of Action to raise awareness of the importance of smoke-free movies. The event is free and open to Cayuga County youth in grades six through 12; participants should bring a swimsuit and towel if they wish to watch the movie in the pool. ☘️ The Weedsport Masonic Lodge will host a corned beef and cabbage dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at 2803 Route 31, Weedsport. Dinners are $15. For more information, call (315) 753-1392.

☘️ First United Methodist Church will serve corned beef, cabbage and ham dinners at 5 p.m. at 8510 South St. Road, Port Byron. Dinners are $12 for adults, $11 for seniors, $5 for children 5 to 12 and free for children younger than 5.

Sunday, March 17

☘️ The traditional St. Patrick's Day Mass will begin at 9 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 85 North St., Auburn.

☘️ Holiday ceremonies will continue with the raising of the Irish flag at 10 a.m. at Memorial City Hall, 24 South St., Auburn.

☘️ After the flag-raising, the Hibernians will hold an open house all day with Irish music and the kitchen opening at noon. The event is open to the public. For more information, call (315) 252-6459.

☘️ A.T. Walley & Co., 119 Genesee St., Auburn, will open at 10 a.m. for its St. Patrick's Day party, which will include a bloody Mary bar until noon, Guinness on draft and corned beef sandwiches. For more information, visit atwalley.com.

☘️ Prison City Pub & Brewery will begin St. Patrick's Day with Irish music by In Harmony from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 28 State St., Auburn. The brewpub will also serve its house dry Irish stout, Hitman, as well as traditional Irish breakfast, beer-braised corned beef sandwiches and more. ☘️ Next Chapter Brewpub will hold a St. Patrick's Day party from noon to 7 p.m. inside Genesee Center, 100 Genesee St., Auburn. Irish stew, reubens and Chapter Irish Mules will be served along with the brewpub's regular menu, and Bob Piorun and Bernie McNabb will perform from 4 to 7 p.m. There is no cover charge. ☘️ A St. Patrick's Day Pipe Organ Recital will take place at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 17, at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, 14 Church St., Moravia. The program will feature Stan Stewart performing classics from Bach to Brahms, pieces honoring St. Patrick, demonstrations of the instrument and two original compositions, "The Opening" and "Modal Toccata." Donations will be accepted. The recital will serve as a fundraiser for the repair and maintenance of the church's pipe organ. A reception will follow the performance. ☘️ The Lakeside Performing Arts Series will see the Notre Dame High School Concert Choir sing from 4 to 5 p.m. at St. James' Episcopal Church, 96 E. Genesee St., Skaneateles. The Elmira choir will perform a program of Irish and Celtic music. There is a suggested donation of $10 at the door, but admission is free for children 18 and younger.
