WrestleMania 34

A photo of the WrestleMania 34 set. WrestleMania 34 will be held Sunday, April 8 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.

It's the biggest day of the year for WWE fans. WrestleMania 34 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans promises to be a big event.

There are at least 13 matches on the card, including the main event between WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. Former UFC champion Ronda Rousey will make her in-ring debut as she teams with Kurt Angle to face Stephanie McMahon and Triple H.

The card doesn't include a rumored match between John Cena and The Undertaker. It's possible that no match will happen, but The Undertaker has been spotted in New Orleans.

The Citizen's live coverage of WrestleMania 34 will begin at 5 p.m. Sunday. We will post live analysis throughout the night and updated results after every match.

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

What happened: It was a sea of humanity to begin the match. It finally got whittled down to three: Matt Hardy, Baron Corbin and Mojo Rawley. Corbin and Rawley are past winners of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, so WWE kind of telegraphed the ending here. But the surprise came when Bray Wyatt came back to help Hardy eliminate Corbin and win the battle royal. Hardy and Wyatt hugged it out after the match and then celebrated in the ring together.

WINNER: "Woken" Matt Hardy

WWE Cruiserweight Championship match: Cedric Alexander vs. Mustafa Ali

What happened: A good match between these two talented superstars. Ali had his opportunities, including a near-fall where Alexander got his foot on the rope before the three-count. Alexander bounced back and picked up the victory.

WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal

What happened: The important part came at the end. Bayley and Sasha Banks teamed up to eliminate several women and it appeared that they were the only two women left in the match. Sasha extends her hand as a show of respect, but Bayley grabs her and eliminates her from the match! The crowd pops. They loved that spot. Bayley thought she won, but Naomi reenters the ring. Naomi was never eliminated. Bayley charges at Naomi and Naomi hits the Rear View before throwing Bayley over the top rope for the win.

WWE Intercontinental Championship match: The Miz (champion) vs. Finn Balor vs. Seth Rollins

What happened: A great match from beginning to end. An early contender for match of the night honors. There were so many good spots. One of the best came when Rollins hit a buckle bomb on The Miz followed by a superplex on Balor. Rollins appeared to be in a position to hit the Falcon Arrow on Balor, but Balor rolls him up. Rollins escaped, then The Miz hits Skull Crushing Finale on Rollins to get a near-fall. The crowd loved the sequence. They were into The Miz nearly winning.

The match ends with an even cooler spot. Balor hit the Coup de Grace on The Miz and appeared position for the win. Out of nowhere, Rollins hit a curb stomp on Balor to break up the pinfall attempt. Rollins followed that up with a curb stomp on The Miz to get the victory. The Miz's title reign ends.

WWE Smackdown Women's Championship match: Charlotte (champion) vs. Asuka

What happened: Another great match. Asuka and Charlotte lived up to the billing. Charlotte took a couple of nasty spills in this match. The first came when Asuka sent her flying into the ringside barrier and Charlotte landed shoulder first. She appeared to be banged up. Later in the match, Asuka and Charlotte were on the ring apron. Asuka hits a suplex that sent Charlotte onto the floor. Charlotte took a nasty back-first bump. She seemed to have the wind knocked out of her. She could be heard saying, "I can't breathe" when the referee checked on her.

Here's how the match ends: After some back and forth action, including some submission maneuvers by Asuka, Charlotte hits a vicious spear. She finally locks in the Figure 4 and moves into the Figure 8. She sells her shoulder injury from earlier in the match by holding herself up by one arm. Asuka taps out! Her streak is over.

WWE United States Championship match: Randy Orton (champion) vs. Bobby Roode vs. Jinder Mahal vs. Rusev

What happened: This was a relatively short match (compared to the first two). Despite hitting some RKOs, Randy Orton wasn't able to retain his title. Jinder Mahal picked up the victory.

Mixed tag team match: Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle vs. Stephanie McMahon and Triple H

What happened: Kurt Angle and Triple H started things out and spent a decent amount of time in the ring. Once Angle found an opening after Triple H was sent flying to the outside, he tagged in Rousey. The crowd popped as soon as Rousey made her entrance. She charged at Stephanie and started working over the boss. Rousey hit a somersault clothesline on Stephanie and goes for the arm bar. Stephanie is able to fight off Rousey and escape. She looks to tag in Triple H, but he's not there. He's still down on the outside. She hits a big boot on Rousey and a DDT. She goes for the pin and gets a near-fall.

The highlight of the match came when it was just Triple H and Rousey in the ring. Mixed tag rules usually require the male wrestler to compete against the opposing male wrestler, but Triple H and Rousey weren't having any of that. Triple H backed the referee into a corner and seemed to tell him to stay out of it. Rousey and Triple H square off and Rousey charges after him! She hits several punches and then scoops up Triple H into a fireman's carry! The crowd popped again. Stephanie broke up the action by reentering the ring and kicking Rousey.

Angle and Rousey regain control of the action with their respective submission holds. Angle had the ankle lock on Triple H and Rousey was attempting to lock in an arm bar on Stephanie. Triple H broke up the holds by flinging Angle into Rousey.

Stephanie and Triple H are on offense and they put Rousey and Angle in position for Pedigrees. However, Angle flips Triple H over the top rope. Rousey then flips Stephanie over and looks for the arm bar again. This time, she locks it in and Stephanie taps right away. WWE cameras cut away to UFC boss Dana White applauding Rousey's win from his seat in the front row. Rousey wins her debut.

WINNERS: Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle

WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championship match: The Usos (champions) vs. The New Day vs. The Bludgeon Brothers

What happened: This was a decent match. The New Day had an elaborate entrance with little people dressed in pancake costumes. It was bizarre. The Usos were the champions entering the match, but they left without the titles. The Bludgeon Brothers picked up the win in this one.

Singles match: John Cena vs. The Undertaker

What happened: John Cena enters and is in the ring when a second referee emerges from the back. He comes down and says something to Cena that seems to suggest The Undertaker wasn't there. Cena goes to leave and the stadium goes dark. But it's not The Undertaker. It's Elias! He walks down the ramp and plays into the crowd's heat. He asks the crowd if they were expecting someone else. He goes down to the ring and Cena exits to return to his seat. Elias continues and begins to trash Cena and the crowd. That's when Cena gets riled up and returns to the ring. He attacks Elias and hits an AA. That seemed to be the end of it. Cena leaves the ring and begins walking up the ramp. The Superdome goes dark and smoke can be seen on the ramp. Moments later, The Undertaker's music hits! It's him.

The Undertaker walks down to the ring. The match is on. The bell rings and here we go! The Undertaker charges at Cena and works him over. He looks youthful as he runs the ropes against Cena. He hits Old School and sizes Cena up for the chokeslam. But Cena escapes and dumps Undertaker. Cena goes for the Five-Knuckle Shuffle. As he's running the ropes, The Undertaker sits up! Cena is stunned. He stumbles and falls.

The Undertaker looks for a chokeslam again. This time, he hits it. He follows that up with a Tombstone Piledriver for the win.

WINNER: The Undertaker

Tag team match: Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn

What happened: This was all Owens and Zayn early after they attacked Bryan and Shane. They dropped Bryan with a Helluva kick and an apron powerbomb. The trainers were called to treat Bryan. Shane decided to take on Owens and Zayn himself. And it wasn't pretty. Owens and Zayn worked him over pretty good. Shane kept clutching his abdomen. He had his moments, though. He had Zayn trapped in the corner. Shane hits Coast to Coast! It looked painful, but he connected.

Owens and Zayn regained control and Owens hits a frog splash. He goes for the pin, but Bryan makes the save! Moments later, Shane is able to work his way over to the corner and tag in Bryan. Bryan hits a series of missile dropkicks and is sizing up Zayn. But Owens grabs him by the leg. It was enough to distract Bryan. Zayn hits a Helluva kick on Bryan. Zayn goes for the pin, but Bryan kicks out. Owens would follow that up with a pop-up powerbomb and nearly gets the pinfall.

Bryan gets some help from Shane. With Owens running at the ropes, Shane pulls down and sends Owens flying over the top. Shane hits a flying clothesline on Owens. That leaves Bryan and Zayn alone in the ring. Bryan gets control again and hits the Yes! kicks. He follows that up with a flying knee and applies the Yes! Lock. Zayn taps out and Bryan wins in his return to the ring.

WINNERS: Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon

WWE Raw Women's Championship match: Alexa Bliss (champion) vs. Nia Jax

What happened: Mickie James accompanied Alexa Bliss to the ring. As soon as the match begins, Nia Jax goes after Mickie on the outside. Nia capped off her attack with a Samoan drop. That's the end of Mickie. She wouldn't have any impact on the outcome of this match.

With Mickie down and out, Alexa looks scared. Nia rag-dolls her around the ring. Nia elevates Alexa and throws her. Bliss lands awkwardly. She tries to escape. She grabs her belt and begins to leave, but Nia is there to greet her. Nia hits a vicious clothesline on Bliss.

Bliss tries to turn the tide by attacking Nia's left knee. She works it over pretty good and is starting to get the upper hand. Nia attempts to regain control by charging at Bliss. Bliss slides out of the way and Nia rams into the ring post. After that collision, Alexa hits Twisted Bliss on Nia, who was still on the outside.

But Nia wouldn't be down and out for long. After more offense from Bliss, Nia fights back. She drops Alexa with an Alabama Slam and then sets up the Samoan drop. She hits the Samoan drop from the second rope. She pins Bliss to win the Raw women's title.

WWE Championship match: AJ Styles (champion) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

What happened: There was some solid physical moments in this match. It wasn't as good as everyone expected it to be, but there were some good spots. One came when Styles had Nakamura in position for the Styles Clash, but Nakamura fought him off. Styles then tries the Phenomenal Forearm. Nakamura grabs him and counters with the Landslide. He goes for the pin, but Styles kicks out.

Styles bounces back and locks in the Calf Crusher. Nakamura won't tap, but he's struggling to get to the ropes. Styles rolls and moves Nakamura back into the middle of the ring and reapplies the Calf Crusher. Nakamura reverses it into a triangle. Styles is able to escape.

As the match progressed, Nakamura had hit a flying knee and attempted an another. AJ slips out of the way and Nakamura makes contact with the turnbuckle instead. AJ connects with the Phenomenal Forearm and nearly gets the pinfall.

Styles can't seem to finish off Nakamura. He goes for a 450 Splash, but Nakamura raised his knees. He tries to roll up Styles. Styles kicks out.

The match ends with Nakamura on offense. He drops Styles and goes for the Kinshasa. Styles reverses and hits the Styles Clash! He covers and retains the WWE Championship.

WWE Raw Tag Team Championship match: Cesaro and Sheamus (champions) vs. Braun Strowman and his partner

What happened: Strowman wants a member of the WrestleMania crowd to be his tag team partner. He picks ... a kid named Nicholas.

Nicholas didn't see action, although Braun did tag him in for a brief moment. After Cesaro snarls at Nicholas, he tags Braun back in. Strowman finishes off the match with a power slam.

WINNERS and NEW WWE RAW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: Braun Strowman and Nicholas

WWE Universal Championship match: Brock Lesnar (champion) vs. Roman Reigns

What happened: The match opens with Reigns charging at Lesnar. Lesnar fights back and halts Reigns' offensive. Lesnar hits three German suplexes. Reigns answers back with two Superman punches to send Lesnar out of the ring. Reigns hits another Superman punch on the outside. Reigns rolls Lesnar back in the ring on one side, then clotheslines Lesnar out of the ring on the opposite side. Lesnar takes a big spill.

With the two men on the outside, Lesnar fights back. He grabs Reigns and tosses him. Reigns lands in awkward fashion. He either landed on his face or his head. Either way, it didn't look good. Lesnar adds another overhead toss that sent Reigns into the side of the announce table.

Lesnar and Reigns return to the ring. Lesnar hits a fourth German suplex, followed by a fifth. At this point, Lesnar is rag-dolling Reigns in and out of the ring. On the outside, Reigns starts to fight back. He shoves Lesnar into the ring post. He then spears Lesnar and they are sent flying over the announce table.

Back in the ring, Reigns connects with a Superman punch and two spears. He covers Lesnar, but The Beast kicks out. Reigns goes for another spear, but Lesnar stuffs it with a flying knee. Lesnar goes for a pin. Reigns kicks out.

Lesnar turns to his F5 to try and put Reigns away. He hits one. Reigns kicks out on the pinfall attempt. Lesnar hits another F5. Yet again, he gets only a two-count. A third F5 isn't enough to put Reigns away.

They head to the outside again. Lesnar tries an F5 through the announce table. He hits it. Lesnar grabs Reigns and rolls him back into the ring. Lesnar hits his sixth German suplex and a fifth F5, but Reigns kicks out on the pin attempt.

A frustrated Lesnar turns to more drastic measures. He begins elbowing Reigns in the head. Reigns begins bleeding almost immediately. He has a crimson mask at this point. He tries to fight back and seems to be getting the momentum back, but Lesnar plants him with a sixth F5. That's it. Lesnar retains the title.
