Seymour Library

Seymour Library announced that it has received a $7,279 Technology and Digitization Grant from the South Central Regional Library Council to microfilm and digitize 1,600 pages and 53 rolls of microfilm of Auburn newspapers.

The publications include the Auburn Morning Dispatch/Auburn Weekly Dispatch from 1888, and the Advertiser-Journal from 1913 to 1931.

The project is a collaboration between the Seymour Public Library District and the Cayuga County Historian's Office. The scanning will be outsourced to Advantage Preservation, and the papers will be added to New York State Historic Newspapers (nyshistoricnewspapers.org) and the library's digital archive at auburn.advantage-preservation.com.
