Jeff Delbel is an Auburn author who published a new book, "The Flight of Jimmy Eagleson."

The revived "word, revisited" writing program will welcome local author Jeff Delbel Thursday, April 27.

A retired philosophy professor and bassist for the band The Bags, Delbel is the author of 2016's "The Flight of Jimmy Eagleson." His second novel, "Salvatore," is scheduled for a fall release, and will be followed by "Kate's Gift."

As per the program's format, Delbel will be followed by an open-mic session for anyone who uses words to create: writers, storytellers, lyricists, playwrights, poets and essayists.

"Word, revisited" takes place at 6 p.m. (doors at 5:30 p.m.) the second and fourth Thursday of every month at The Cayuga Museum Carriage House Theater behind the museum, 203 Genesee St., Auburn. The program is a partnership between the museum and local publications Olive Trees and aaduna.

Admission to the event is $3 per person; a cash bar will be available.
