East Hill Family Medical, of Auburn, celebrated the work of its employees during National Health Center Week, which took place Aug. 12 through Aug. 18.
A staff breakfast took place Monday, Aug. 13, and Poppy's ice cream truck served free cones to staff Tuesday, Aug. 14. On Wednesday, Aug. 15, there was a luncheon with presentations by Mayor Michael Quill and Assemblyman Gary Finch, as well as a proclamation by state Sen. John DeFrancisco.
The week brings attention to the mission and accomplishments of America's health centers and staff, who bring high-quality health care to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay, East Hill said in a news release. The center is one of 1,400 health centers in the country, which together produce $24 billion in annual health system savings and reduce unnecessary hospitalizations and trips to the emergency room.
