Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways is hosting Day in the Park summer programs — including one at Owasco’s Emerson Park on July 19 — for current Daisies (grades K-1), Brownies (grades 2-3) and non-Girl Scouts.

Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways (GSNYPENN) is hosting a series of Day in the Park summertime programs across its council territory in New York this July and August for current Daisies (grades K-1), Brownies (grades 2-3) and non-Girl Scouts. Programs are designed to encourage girls from the youngest Girl Scout levels and those interested in joining the leadership program to come make new friends and learn Girl Scout traditions. One of the programs will be hosted at Emerson Park in Owasco from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, July 19.

In addition to learning about traditions and camping, girls will make SWAPS (special whatchamacallits affectionately pinned somewhere), join in a friendship circle, play games, create an edible campfire and earn a fun patch. Attendees must bring a bagged lunch and water bottle. A snack and fun patch are provided as part of the program fee.

The program costs $10 for current and newly enrolled Daisies and Brownies and $35 (includes $25 annual Girl Scout membership) for nonmembers. Adults may attend free of charge. Preregistration is required. Search “Day in the Park” on the GSNYPENN online events calendar for programs, registration deadlines and links to sign up.

For more information, contact GSNYPENN customer care at (855) 213-8555 or info@gsnypenn.org to be connected to the girl experience manager running the Day in the Park program in your local area.
