The Citizen's Eco Talk column, which appears Fridays in the Lake Life section, was recently recognized with a Communication Award from the National Association of County Agricultural Agents.
The column won in the Personal Column category for the state of New York, and is now a Northeast regional finalist. The column won the same award last year.
The editions of Eco Talk that won the award were "How farmers use manure" and "A guide to Maple Weekends in central New York." Both columns were written by Judy Wright, a senior resource educator with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Cayuga County, and published in February.
