Gallery: Auburn firefighters battle late night house fire
The Auburn Fire Department responded to a house fire at 49 Walnut St. late Tuesday evening. The call came in around 11:30pm. The sole resident of the house is Colleen Philips, 63. Initially firefighters thought Phillips was still in the burning structure, but she was not on the scene. Her dog, Midget, was rescued and given oxygen. Firefighters were still putting out hot spots into the early hours of Wednesday.
