The Rev. Kathryn Schofield taped a piece of paper to the scaffolding that read, "The Good Lord saith, Behold, I am making all things new!" SS. Peter and John Episcopal Church in Auburn has been getting a long-overdue interior facelift over the past two months. The church's 110 members raised nearly all of the $60,000 to hire Swiatek Studios, of Buffalo, to paint the 1,200 square feet of walls and trim. Some of the more handy members pitched in to make minor renovations and repairs. After it was all said and done, the completed project took 25 gallons of plaster, 50 gallons of paint and 2,240 man hours. Schofield is thrilled and excited to celebrate Mass once again in the church, just in time for Palm Sunday.
