State of the City

Auburn City Manager Jeff Dygert speaks at a State of Cayuga County and City of Auburn Luncheon.

Auburn City Manager Jeffrey Dygert will make a guest appearance this week on "Inside Government with Guy Cosentino," a program produced by Cayuga Community College's telecom/media department. 

On Tuesday, March 12, Dygert will provide anupdate on recruiting officers for the Auburn Police Department, a possible relocation of the Market Street Fire Station and the 2019-2020 city budget, will be among topics discussed. 

The show airs at 7 p.m. on Tuesday and will replay on Thursday, March 14 at 7 p.m. on Spectrum channels 12 and 98. The show will also air on Verizon Channel 31 on Saturday, March 16 and Sunday, March 17 at 5 p.m. from the Auburn Regional Media Access. 

Following that show, Cayuga County Planning Director Steve Lynch and Planner Kiva VanDerGeest will be featured on "Beyond the Front Page with Guy Cosentino." The two will discuss the Emerson Park Programming Initiative. A public open house to get community input Thursday, March 14, from 1 to 6:30 p.m. will also be discussed.

On Tuesday, March 12 at 8 p.m., a rebroadcast of "Inside Government with Guy Cosentino" with Cayuga County Administrator J. Justin Woods giving a county update. Then, at 8:30 p.m., an episode of "Beyond with Front Page with Guy Cosentino" will air featuring Auburn Downtown Business Improvement District Executive Director Stephanie DeVito and NYS Equal Rights Heritage Center Visitor Experience Manager Courtney Rae Kasper. The pair will discuss the new visitor's center. 

Future shows will include interviews with new Cayuga County Tourism Director Karen Kuhl, the Cayuga Museum's new executive director, Kirsten Wise and state senators, Robert Antonocci and Pamela Helming, after the college's spring break. 

The programs are rebroadcast starting at 10 a.m. every Saturday on the college's radio station, WDWN — 89.1 FM. They are also live-streamed and posted on the telecom/media department's YouTube platform.
