To emphasize employee safety and their frustration with prison administration, Auburn Correctional Facility officers will hold a picket according to the New York State Correctional Officers and Police Benevolent Association.
About 50 to 100 officers from Auburn and other state correctional facilities are expected to gather from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 8 across the street from the prison. Participants will emphasize their messages about a rise in violence against corrections officers, low employee morale and a lack of administrative support, according to NYSCOPBA.
