An Auburn entrepreneur has been honored by a broadcasting station in Syracuse this week.

Tracy Verrier, an agricultural entrepreneur and the executive director of Cayuga Strategic Solutions, a joint project between the Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce and the Cayuga Economic Development Agency, is one of 10 women who are this year's Makers: Women Who Make America honorees for the station WCNY, according to a press release. The recipients were to be honored at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 8, at the Wesleyan Chapel of the Women’s Rights Historical Park in Seneca Falls.

The awards began as a tie-in with the PBS documentary “Makers: Women Who Make America," but WCNY has continued the honors to acknowledge the accomplishments of women in central New York in the hopes of inspiring honors, the press release said.
