Auburn police arrested a man on a felony assault charge early Saturday morning after a neighbor called in a disturbance.
The Auburn Police Department said the suspect, Jason Charles Blaisdell, allegedly hit his girlfriend in the face with a toilet seat, injuring her nose, face and wrist. Blaisdell also allegedly hit her several times after the incident and punched a bathroom mirror, police said.
Blaisdell, 39, 19 Franklin St., Auburn, was charged with second-degree assault, a class D felony, and two class A misdemeanors: fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
Police said Blaisdell was being held in Cayuga County Jail after his arraignment Saturday morning.
