Maxwell's Food Store has been a family-owned business in Auburn for 90 years. Scott Maxwell, his wife, Bobbie, and brother, Larry, are the third generation to run the small neighborhood store. During the coronavirus pandemic, the Maxwells find themselves working harder than ever as customers look to them for the comforts they need during these troubling times. The family-friendly environment is evident versus the big chain grocers. It's the kind of place where everyone knows your name. The fear of the pandemic is not lost on the Maxwells as Scott is currently battling serious health issues that put him at a higher risk of illness during the pandemic. Yet he shows up for work each day, with his family and a couple of employees, because it's what the Maxwells do — serve the community.
