AUBURN | The Fingerlakes Mall is getting a new laser tag arena.
Barski's Xtreme Laser Tag will be moving into the space of the mall where Curves Gym used to be, according to a press release issued on Monday. Construction on the 3,000-square-foot space has begun and the management team is expecting opening day to be on Monday, July 1.
The arena is being opened by the owners of Barski's Bounce, an indoor bounce center in the mall's J.C. Penney wing, according to the release.
"We wanted to stay in the Fingerlakes Mall to expand our business with the bounce house to cover any age group. It's a great place to have a business," said Dave Barski, co-owner of Barski's Bounce.
Barski will be filling any job openings for the new arena in mid-June, according to the release. Applications for the positions can be found at Barski's Bounce.
The Fingerlakes Mall also announced that the mall will be working with the Pyramid Brokerage Co. to provide a larger variety of stores for "a better shopping and entertainment experience for everyone," said Lizz Bunn, the mall's marketing coordinator.
"We are optimistic that this partnership will bring great things to the mall and we look forward to the opportunities ahead of us," she said.
