Jeffrey P. Sikora, an Auburn resident, was presented the 2018 Quarter Century Operator Club Award by the New York Water Environment Association.
The NYWEA, a statewide nonprofit organization of leaders in water quality management, presented the award to Sikora at the NYWEA's 91st annual Water Quality Technical Conference.
The award recognizes veteran water/wastewater systems operators who've racked at least 25 years of service. Sikora, who is a 27-year member of the NYWEA Central Chapter, is the Auburn wastewater treatment plant's chief operator. He holds a bachelor's degree in biology from SUNY Oswego and an associate's degree in math and science from Cayuga Community College.
