AUBURN - John A. "Jack" Lyons, 86, of Schwartz Towers, died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, at Mercy Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Auburn on June 13, 1916, Jack was the son of Edward and Mary Bowe Lyons. He was a graduate of Auburn Business School and an Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Lyons was a clothing salesman with the former Egberts of Auburn for 35 years, and with Anderson Little for 12 years. He was a communicant of Holy Family Church.

Jack is survived by his wife of 47 years, Helen E. Murphy Lyons; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and William LaRue of Liverpool; two grandchildren, Brittany Ann and John Lyons LaRue; and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceasing Mr. Lyons is a sister, Marion Daly; and a brother, Edward Lyons.

Family prayer services will be 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at White Chapel Funeral Home, 197 South St., Auburn, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Fleming. Friends are invited to call on the family from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
