Auburn police charged a 24-year-old man Wednesday with attacking another man with a number of different makeshift weapons.
Kyle Allen Jetty, of 8 Orchard Ave., was charged with second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both felonies, after attacking another man with a box fan, a broken chair and the leg of a table, Deputy Chief Roger Anthony said.
According to Anthony, Jetty attacked the victim as a result of a dispute over a woman.
The victim suffered multiple lacerations to the head that required hospitalization and staples.
Once police arrived, Jetty was arrested without incident, although his arrest report listed him as being impaired by alcohol at the time.
Jetty was arraigned in Auburn City Court later that night.
