An Auburn man was charged Saturday for allegedly threatening a woman with a knife.
The Auburn Police Department said that officers were sent to 136 Dunning Ave. at 11:03 a.m. for a report of a man holding a woman against her will with a knife in the basement of the residence. Police found Darryl W. Nottage, 56, at the address — which is his home — with a woman while in possession of a hunting knife, according to a news release.
Police said that Nottage had gotten into an argument with the woman, punched her, and threatened her with the knife. He was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class D felony, and second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor.
He was arraigned in Auburn City Court and remanded to the Cayuga County Jail.
