An Auburn man was arrested Friday morning after a domestic incident in which he allegedly threatened to kill a woman and held a fork to her throat.
According to a press release from the Auburn Police Department, the victim called police and reported that Michael Tillman, 58, of 11 Grover St., Apt. 3, verbally threatened to kill her. Tillman had already left the residence by the time officers responded.
After officers left, Tillman gained entry into the victim's home without permission and again threatened to kill her while holding a fork to her throat, police said. A neighbor overheard the struggle and called 911. Police returned to the home and arrested Tillman.
Tillman was charged with first-degree burglary and second-degree menacing. He was arraigned Friday morning in Auburn City Court and remanded without bail. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending, according to police.
