An Auburn woman is facing multiple charges after allegedly stabbing a man Monday. 

The Auburn Police Department said officers were following up on a domestic incident that occurred early Monday when the 24-year-old victim reported that he had been stabbed. 

Officers responded to 44 Lincoln Street and located the man with a laceration to his head. The victim, whose name was not released, was transported to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse for treatment. 

Police located the suspect, Sheila L. Marks, of 52 Osborne St., Auburn, at her home. A search was obtained for her residence, police said.

After the search, Marks was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary, second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. She is being held at Auburn Police Department pending arraignment in Auburn City Court. 

The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries and has been released from the hospital, according to police.
