A Skaneateles High School student has died and the school district will offer counseling.
Marissa Reilly, who would have been a junior in the fall, died Tuesday night, according to an announcement from district Superintendent Kenneth Slentz. Slentz said the district is communicating with Marissa's family and friends.
"To that end, we ask that you send your thoughts and prayers to Marissa's family such that they may feel the incredible power of this community in such tragic situations," Slentz said.
The high school counseling team will hold a grief session at 10 a.m. Thursday at the high school counseling office. Any students who want to attend are asked to call Elaine Sciortino, the counseling center coordinator, at 291-2237.
The district did not give additional details.
