Auburn police say missing vulnerable man located


Auburn police announced Tuesday morning that Wayne Bresee has been located.

APD issued the following statement:

The Auburn Police Department would like to report that missing vulnerable adult, Wayne Bresee, reported missing on August 12, 2016 has been located.

During the investigation information was received by APD of Breseeā€™s whereabouts, and he was located in Auburn, NY.

The Auburn Police Department would like to thank the public for their assistance in this matter.


The Auburn Police Department is requesting the public's help to find a missing vulnerable adult.

Wayne G. Bresee, 61, was last seen in Auburn on Aug. 11 wearing a green baseball hat, blue jeans and a gray-blue T-shirt. He has gray hair, hazel eyes, is 6-feet tall and 170 pounds. Bresee has health issues, according to his family, and his whereabouts are unknown.

APD said Bresee has multiple contacts in Auburn and could still be there. Anyone who may have information on his location or whereabouts is asked to call APD at (315) 253-3231. Callers may remain anonymous.
