UPDATE: The Cayuga County Office Building and Cayuga County Courthouse have reopened after briefly closing due to a power outage.
Power has been restored, according to NYSEG's website.
The Cayuga County Office Building and Cayuga County Courthouse are closed until further notice due to a power outage in the city of Auburn, according to a news release.
The outage was caused by a blown transformer. As of 9:40 a.m., NYSEG's website lists 616 customers without power in the city.
The county buildings are running on limited generator power, the county administrator's office said.
