Del Lago Resort & Casino in Seneca County has its third executive vice president and general manager in two years.
Lance Young, who served as vice president of gaming operations at the casino, has been promoted to the top job. He succeeds Mark Juliano, who held the position since July 2018.
Juliano left del Lago to become chief gaming officer at Baha Mar, a casino and resort in the Bahamas.
"I have deeply enjoyed my time at del Lago Resort & Casino," Juliano said in a statement. "While it will be extremely hard to leave a company and community I have grown to love, this was an opportunity I could not pass up."
Del Lago didn't have to look far for Juliano's replacement. Young joined the casino's leadership team as vice president of table games in August 2016. His early work focused on the design and layout of the gaming floor, table games equipment, internal controls and staff training.
During his tenure as vice president of gaming operations, Young oversaw $6 million in capital projects at the casino. The projects include the construction of the DraftKings Sportsbook at del Lago, which is scheduled to open this summer.
Before joining del Lago, Young held executive positions at Cannery Casino Resorts in Las Vegas and Meadows Racetrack & Casino in Pennsylvania.
Aaron Gomes, chief operating officer at del Lago, lauded Juliano for his leadership over the last year.
"We truly appreciate the impact Mark has made on del Lago Resort & Casino and wish him all the best as he takes on an undeniable leadership role of a lifetime," Gomes said. "We are also incredibly thrilled for Lance as he steps into this new role and we look forward to seeing the momentum continue under his leadership."
Del Lago opened in February 2017. At the time, the casino's vice president and general manager was Jeff Babinski. Babinski led the casino during the construction phase and through its first year of operation.
Babinski left the job in March 2018. He decided to return to the Midwest and became general manager of the Kansas Star Casino near Wichita.
