• McDonald's, 198 Grant Ave., Auburn (March 27): unsatisfactory. One tray of approximately 12 scrambled eggs noted at 128 degrees Fahrenheit in the hot holding unit. The timer indicated that they had been in the unit for approximately six minutes. Eggs voluntarily discarded by the manager at the time of inspection.

• Subway-CCC, 197 Franklin St., Auburn: satisfactory. Rodent scat observed in fountain beverage cabinet.

• Ukrainian National Club, 125 Washington St., Auburn: satisfactory.

• Zen Den Studio, 16 Genesee St., Auburn: satisfactory.

• Loyal Order of Moose 1419, 83 Wall St., Auburn: satisfactory.

• Giuseppe's Pizzeria, 75 Owasco St., Auburn: satisfactory. The shelves inside the walk-in cooler noted to have an excessive build of food debris on them. The filters in the exhaust hood require cleaning due to excessive grease build-up.

• Mesa Grande Taqueria, 100 Genesee St., Auburn: satisfactory. Food products stored on the floor of the walk-in cooler. The floor under the dishwasher and three-bay sink and dishwasher require cleaning due to increased amount of food debris.

• Applebee's Neighborhood Grille & Bar, 221 Grant Ave., Auburn (March 27): unsatisfactory. In the bar, soda gun lacks a drain line allowing soda to drip into ice well, causing cross contamination. Correction made: Ice dumped, unit cleaned and sanitized, and drain line re-connected by the manager. Approximately 30 half-and-half coffee creamers stored in cold storage at server area in kitchen in container not deep enough to maintain temperature. Temperature of half-and-half found to be 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Creamers voluntarily discarded by manager.

• Connie's Deli, 137 State St., Auburn: satisfactory.

• Sennett Livestock Sales, 3180 Turnpike Road, Auburn: satisfactory.

• Simple Roast Coffee, 321 Genesee St., Auburn: satisfactory.

• Lin Bo Chinese Restaurant, 8932 N. Seneca St., Weedsport: satisfactory. Multiple food products noted to be stored uncovered in the walk-in cooler, including cooked and raw chicken, and cooked egg rolls. The shelves in the walk-in cooler and double door cooler are rusted and pitted. The filters in the exhaust hood require cleaning due to excessive grease build-up. A mattress observed to be built in to the bottom of a shelving unit in the dry goods storage area. Pillows and blankets and a table were also present.

• The Betty Blue, 76 W. Cayuga St., Moravia: satisfactory. The inside of the cooler units require cleaning due to food debris build-up. Missing large portions of the linoleum floor throughout the kitchen.

• Balloons Restaurant, 67 Washington St., Auburn (March 29): unsatisfactory. Improper storage of ready-to-eat foods next to raw, potentially hazardous foods. Partial bag of raw spinach observed stored next to multiple raw product containers (contains products such as pork chops, chicken, etc.) in the bottom of the sandwich cooler along the main prep line in the kitchen. Bag of spinach was leaning over and partially on top of the raw product containers. No evidence that cross-contamination had occurred, so line-cook relocated the spinach to a location away from raw products. Build-up of grease and food debris on sides of 10-burner stove and adjacent smaller stove along main prep line in kitchen. Hand wash sink not functional in employee restroom located adjacent to dry-storage room. Sign stating “out of order” taped to mirror above sink. Missing and broken floor tiles throughout kitchen and storage areas. Hole in drop ceiling tile above double-door stainless dairy cooler in small storage room adjacent to main kitchen. Multiple stained/water-damaged ceiling tiles in dry storage room. Vent grids over main prep line in kitchen have excessive grease build-up. Fan shrouds in walk-in cooler have build-up of dust.

• Giuseppe's Pizzeria of Moravia, 161 Main St., Moravia: satisfactory.

• Prison City Pub & Brewery, 28 State St., Auburn: satisfactory. Mold growth noted on the inside baffle of the storage well of the ice machine. The floor under the dishwashing area requires cleaning due to excessive dirt and debris build up. Cracked and broken floor tiles noted ion the basement storage area.

• Holiday Inn, 75 North St., Auburn: satisfactory. Blood from preparing hamburger patties noted on a stainless steel work table in the main preparation area. A pile of grease noted on the floor behind the grill. The grease dripped from the grease catch located on the exhaust hood.

• Dunkin Donuts, 160 State St., Auburn: satisfactory. Scoop for sugar for drinks stored in bin. Corrected during inspection. The top of the ice caddy under front counter left open when not in active use. Corrected at time of inspection.

• Boston Pizza, 1073 State Route 31, Port Byron: satisfactory.

The back of the stove top requires cleaning due to grease build. Large hole present in the ceiling above the three-bay sink, debris from the hole noted on the floor under the sink. The floors and walls under and around the the the main cook line requires cleaning due to excess grease build-up. Exhaust fans require cleaning due to grease build-up.

• C.J.'s Pub & Restaurant, 8902 S. Seneca St., Weedsport: satisfactory.

• Osteria Salina, 16/20 State St., Auburn (April 5): unsatisfactory. Two flats of eggs and a stainless pan containing approximately 20 raw shrimp stored on top right-hand shelf of sandwich cooler in main (first floor) kitchen. These raw products were located directly above a pan of fresh, ready-to-serve salsa. Chef corrected by properly relocating products. Wiping cloths dirty, not stored properly in sanitizing solutions. No sanitizer buckets in main prep kitchen at start of inspection, which was corrected immediately by chef. Drain line under three-bay sink located in the basement drips onto the floor when water drains out of wash sink. Self-closing hinge not working on women’s bathroom door. Two panels of ceiling lights are not working in the main kitchen, including the panel over the sandwich cooler/sandwich prep station, and the panel at the near-end of the main cook-line. Inoperable equipment in basement including two ice machines, two sandwich coolers and one small oven.

• Happy Days Drive-In, 3022 State Route 370, Meridian: satisfactory.

• McDonald's, 198 Grant Ave., Auburn (April 10): satisfactory.

• Applebee's Neighborhood Grille & Bar, 221 Grant Ave., Auburn (April 10): unsatisfactory. Approximately 30 half and half coffee creamers stored in cold prep line (expo station) found to have a temperature of 47 to 51 degrees Fahrenheit. Creamers voluntarily discarded by the manager.

• Balloons Restaurant, 67 Washington St., Auburn (April 12): satisfactory.

• Osteria Salina, 16/20 State St., Auburn (April 12): satisfactory. Facility operator did not renew permit prior to its expiration March 31. Application provided at time of re-inspection.
