HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Donald Eaton Myers passed away May 28, 2019, in Huntsville, Ala.
He was born on Sept. 20, 1925 in Nescopeck, Pa., to Clyde and Louise (Agard) Myers.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine (Walker); two brothers, Kenneth and Seely, and sister, Lois Becker.
Don is survived by his brother, John, in Florida; sister, Eleanor Decker, in Connecticut; his four children, Richard (Valerie), of Huntsville, Ala., Susan Blackwood (Sam Kemp), of Waco, Texas, William (Lynn), of Boston, N.Y., and Robert (Robin), of Sacramento, Calif.; nine grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.

After his military service, from November 1943 to April 1946, Don earned an agricultural degree from Cornell University. He and his older brother, Ken, ran the family farm for several years, before Don moved on to a career with Ferry Morse Seed Company. He retired from that company as V.P. of Marketing in Modesto, Calif.
Don enjoyed reading, walking, watching TV sports, and playing bridge anytime he could while residing in Auburn and whenever he visited family.
No calling hours or memorial service are planned. His ashes will be laid to rest in Elmira, N.Y. with a later family gathering.
