FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Frederick G. Tarby Jr., 53, formerly of Auburn, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Fred was born in Auburn on Sept. 6, 1964, and was the son of the late Frederick Tarby Sr. and K. Joanne Locastro Tarby. He was a member of the graduating class of 1982 of Auburn High School. He worked doing fundraising for the Veterans Multi-Purpose Center Equine Assisted Therapy Program in Groveland, Fla. Previously he had been employed with TCG Catering in Pompano Beach, Fla., where he leaves behind many close friends.
Fred is survived by his three sisters, Susan (Gordon) Glassey, of Florida, Joanna (Brian) Donovan, of Auburn, Kelly (Ron) Corey, of Rochester; two brothers, David Tarby, of Auburn, and Christopher (Michele) Tarby, of Auburn; nieces and nephews, Brittany Glassey, Eric, Katie and Matthew Donovan, Stella and Virginia Corey and Lindsey, Marissa, Michael, Rachel, Christopher Jr. and Peter Tarby; aunts and uncles, Joan Tarby, Joey Locastro, and Karen and John Halbritter and many cousins.
A memorial service celebrating Fred’s life will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 5 in Sacred Heart Church.
