AUBURN — Jean B. Ford, 91, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Feb. 8, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on March 4, 1926 in Potsdam, N.Y., the daughter of Eugene and Lois Hill Beyor. In her early years she worked as an LPN until choosing to dedicate her life to caring for her family. Jean enjoyed painting, bowling and golf, playing cards and games with her family, and doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She was involved with the United Methodist women and enjoyed her Monday morning Bible study group.
She is survived by her three children, Robert (Ethel) Ford, of LaFayette, Donna Gilfus (Dave Salato), of Union Springs, and Bonnie Ford, of Auburn. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Chris Jorgensen, Rhonda Schultz, Randy Ford, Benjamin, Scott, Danielle, Joshua, Aaron, and Sarah Gilfus, and four great-grandchildren, CJ and Jack Jorgensen, Jayla Reyes, and Rylee Schultz. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Hilda Beyor, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Jean was predeceased by her husband, Donald F. Ford; great-grandson, Owen Schultz; sister, Patricia Redmond; two brothers, Bernard and Lawrence Beyor, and a niece, Linda Beyor.
Memorial service will take place at a later date.
