PHOENIX, Ariz. — Norma A. Pensone, of Auburn, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at her niece’s home in Phoenix, Ariz.
Norma was born on April 7, 1923 in Auburn where she resided until 2007. She was the daughter of Anthony and Elena Procino Pensone; sister to Mary Louise Pensone Goglia and Particia Pensone Wheeler.
Norma had an amazing career in the banking industry that spanned 50 years. After graduating from East High School, she began at Auburn Savings Bank and then Marine Midland Bank until she retired. Norma was an avid golfer, loving every aspect of the game. At the age of 90 she shot two hole-in-ones and continued to play golf two to three times a week until this past winter. She was champion bowler, loved to ski, and play tennis; was a longtime volunteer for Meals on Wheels and a member of Saint Frances of Assisi Church.
She is survived by her two nieces, Kim Goglia Belli and her husband, Anthony Belli, both of Phoenix, Ariz., and Elena Goglia Boissoneau and her husband, Steven Boissoneau, of Manchester, N.H.; also her five great-nieces and nephews, Bailey and Korie Boissoneau, Alec and David Belli, and Erika Belli Loden; along with a large extended family of cousins that she absolutely adored.
Friends are invited to join the family for her funeral Mass to be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2018, in Saint Francis of Assisi Church. Private burial will be held at a later time.
