In his recent letter, Frank Petrosino accused me of experiencing "Trump derangement syndrome" for having the audacity to express my anti-Trump opinion in the opinion section of The Citizen newspaper. I stated that Donald J. Trump is as dumb as a rock. In that regard I apologize to all rocks. The opinion I expressed did indeed have facts to back it up. I based my opinion upon much more than what I listed as I am limited to 400 words. How about Mr. Trump not knowing (during a debate) what the "nuclear triad" is or Mr. Trump showing his ignorance regarding the concept of "deterrence" when he asked Chris Matthews "What good are nuclear weapons if we don't use them?" The fact that Trump has the nuclear codes should scare every American. Kudos to Mr. Petrosino, though, for catching my mistake in that it was NOT Booker T. Washington that Trump thought was still alive, it was Frederick Douglass, whom Trump did not realize passed away 123 years ago. That's not much to hang your hat on in defense of Mr. Trump.

I respectfully assert that Mr. Petrosino has been conned by Trump as so many people have been, including those who enrolled in his fake university or donated money to his fake charity ... all evidenced by actual facts. If I were to inquire as to what exactly it was that caused him to support Mr. Trump I would sarcastically ask whether it was Trump bragging about molesting women or candidate bone spur stating that American POWs were not heroes. While disputing my assertion that Trump is dumb, I appreciate that Mr. Petrosino did not take umbrage with my characterizing Trump as a pathological liar, mentally unbalanced, grossly immoral and deeply corrupt ... as none of that should be in dispute. If I asked, based upon the aforementioned, why he likely voted for Trump, Mr. Petrosino would probably sheepishly say, as many do, that he supported Trump because Trump was not Hillary. She, of course, was the candidate who was actually experienced and well-qualified ... the one the right has been campaigning against and hurling one groundless investigation after another at for over 20 years. I would say that the attacks on Hillary Clinton did result in a very real malady that Mr. Petrosino obviously contracted: Hillary derangement syndrome. Now our nation and the world suffers from the ill effects of Donald J. Trump.
