Do you find yourself being frustrated with ninety-five percent of the politicians who do NOT keep their promises? It is interesting how they court, woo, implore, flatter, smile, manipulate, sing, dance and swear that they will make all of your dreams come true. Then they don’t follow with their words once they have gotten into their desired political positions.
After they have blown their way into bureaucracies, they resort to implementing their own plans. Instead of accommodating the wishes of the voting citizens, they do what they think is the best action for the people they represent. These men and women become so ego-centric and besotted with their own sense of power that they say and do whatever they need to in order to keep their place in Federal, State, County, City and Town governments. Soon, any location where politicians are supposed to be working for the “good of the cause” quickly becomes a costly, incompetent latrine. When do they convert their publicity seeking actions and insincere promises into the actual work that we hired them to do?
At the time that these political hopefuls were campaigning for the position, they were everywhere, seeking attention and promising that they will work very hard to improve the quality of of life for the people. Shortly after achieving their dream positions they have a multitude of excuses as to why they could not accomplish whatever is necessary in order to meet the needs of their constituents.
This type of arrogant, negligent, paternalistic, hypocritical, condescending, typical political behavior needs to cease because many voters realize how ineffectual that the majority of politicians really are.
For the five percent of politicians who actually do the work in order to keep their campaign promises, please accept my respect and apologies and gratitude.
